Sewing Threads
We are the historic leader in the supply of large technical sewing threads. These braided threads are used for Blake, Petit Point, Good Year, Norwegian, Sandalette, Kneipp, lateral or hand lacing.
Moreover, Sigier Capelle also manufactures flat braids for filled reinforcements.

This sewing thread is used for sewing classic shoes. So most French brands trust us. These brands manufacture shoes, moccasins, derbies, richelieus, etc. in France.
Classic shoe manufacturers can therefore find threads that are suitable for sewing their shoes. This thread is used for sewing shoes.

What’s more, with the right treatment, our threads can be adapted to your tools. We coat our yarns with paraffin, also known as pitch.

Flat Braid
Sigier Capelle flat braids are 1 to 10 mm wide.
These flat braids are made on braiding machines of various sizes: 9, 13, 17, 21, 33 or 49 spindles.
The braids are made from synthetic, natural or mixed materials, including cotton, mercerised cotton, organic cotton, polyester, recycled polyester and viscose.
They are used in a wide range of applications: automotive, footwear, upholstery, furniture, as fillers or reinforcements, etc. The special feature of flat braid, due to the oblique interweaving of the yarns, is its elasticity across the width. However, flat braid can be very flexible or very rigid, depending on the settings applied.
